Rajkumar - The king of heartthrob, known for his flamboyant ways of dressing up, his theatrical performances, acting style, and his infatuation with his first wife, Geeta Bali, is no less than what one would expect from a superstar. He’s an out and out party animal, with a sense of humour just as sassy and loud.
He has been married twice. The first time was to Geeta Bali, with whom he had two sons, Rajiv and Rahul, in 1967. They had to part amicably because of Geeta’s pregnancy. Geeta and Rajkumar then got married in 1975. They have two children, Aishwarya and Abhishek. Rajkumar and his wife are said to have got along well with each other and supported each other during their respective marriages.
Rajkumar has appeared in only few Hindi films since his retirement in 1980 and has been working in the Malayalam and Tamil film industries. The most memorable among them include Chandrolsavam (1988), Pesum Padam (1989), Ee Parakkum Pranayam (1994), Kaakka Muttayyaan (1998), Pazhani (1998), Chumbappadam Bhayankar (2000), Mazhayathu (2001), Angamaly Diaries (2003) and Maattukadil Oralkadai (2006).
He has also acted in a few Tamil films. The most popular among them include Annamalai (1981), Aasaiyil Oruvan (1984), Sathyam Sivam Sundaram (1985), Thiruda Thiruda (1987), Aval Oru Preethiya Kaakka (1988) and Kaakka Muttai (1996).
Rajkumar’s first son Rahul is a popular music composer and director, with film credits including Paathshala (2005) and Love Birds (2005).
The second son, Aishwarya, has an excellent record in acting. He acted in Kannada films including Maduve (2006) and Nam Naadu (2008). He was also a contestant on Bigg Boss 2 on Sony Entertainment Television in 2011, where he came close to being evicted from the house. He has acted in the Tamil film Anjathe, and also appeared in the Hindi film Jab We Met.
